Al E. Cat (Real name Alex East) has been involved in the Rockabilly Scene for over 25 years. Beginning as an enthusiast at home in England, he grew up with an old record collection which he played until they vinyl was almost worn out. In the late 70s Neo_Billy took off in Europe and he found out that he was not alone. He began DJing, securing several regular gigs at pubs and clubs around his native Buckinghamshire.
In the late 80s he moved to Spain to continue his DJing career, but after 2 years he moved back to the UK.
He finally achieved his dream of moving to the USA in the late 90s and now lives happily with his wife in California.
He has authored a book called “The Encyclopedia of Rock N Roll” and is about to launch a new website designed for the Rockabilly Community called Rockabilly HQ.
He continues to DJ and has interviewed some of the greats of Rockabilly music.
